I've just finished a video in which seven artists explain successful self-portraits. What I liked most was that each artist chose different pieces to talk about, and found different merits in them. My self-portrait is in the exhibition, and you'll see it near the beginning of the video, but the artists I interviewed wisely chose not to discuss my picture, because I was the interviewer. Honored and delighted to have my work included. It is very interesting and instructive to hear the many ways in which art is evaluated. Even though the artists who commented were not, in fact, jurying the show, the video gives insight into what goes into that process. Informative and well done! Comments are closed.
